About Me

Heidi Pollard-Hermann
MA, MSN, PMHNP-BC, PMH-C

I began my career working alongside survivors of human trafficking and commercial sexual exploitation at the Mexico-California border. My masters degree in cross cultural studies from Fuller Theological Seminary provided a lens in which to engage in cross cultural trauma responsive work.

Moving into nursing came as a natural fit to further engage in supporting others within reproductive health. After receiving my masters from University of San Diego in nursing, I began working at Oregon Health and Science University on labor and delivery. Birth work is an honor. I appreciate the role of holding space, facilitating brave spaces and supporting others during the transformative experiences around birth both celebratory and grief filled. Currently, I continue working alongside pregnant folks with the OHSU maternal fetal medicine team.

As a board certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner, I hope to further my skills to support those within their perinatal and parental journeys. Parents taking care of their mental health creates ripples that transform their children, families, community and our world.

I am joining the UpWell Psychiatry team and will start seeing patients early fall once I am credentialed with multiple insurance panels. I plan to specialize in perinatal mood disorders, traumatic birth, obstetric violence, fetal and neonatal loss alongside other behavioral health needs. I strive to continue to utilize an anti-racist, decolonized and ecofeminist lens within the work.
